Who We Are

Since 1998, West Niagara Second Stage Housing & Counselling has been an integral service in the region helping women and children who have experienced abuse. We are an inclusive, client-centered organization that runs on progressive principles and we work tirelessly to ensure no woman is ever turned away. We value and continue to prioritize diversity in our clientele with respect to: ethnicity, class, ability, sexual orientation, religion, racialized minorities, and gender identity. All of our services are free and confidential. Free interpreter services are available in multiple languages.

Services Available

Counselling Program

Individual, supportive counselling that is always free and confidential. Our counselors are professional, sensitive, approachable, and client-centered. We also assist women in meeting their short and long term goals.

Residential Program | Transitional & Housing Support Program

We provide transitional housing integrated within the community for women (and children) in need of a safe home. The units, located in Grimsby, Beamsville, & Smithville are furnished and subsidized based on income. Clients (and their children) may live here for up to one year. We also assist women with safety planning, housing applications, referrals, and goal-setting.

Child & Youth Program

Provides counselling services specifically designed for children and youth including: various counselling activities, advocacy, and community referrals.
